What genre do you guys play?
“Death Groove.”
Is there a meaning behind the name; how did
you come to agree upon the name?
“No. When the band started it was just Jason and I (Steven)
doing everything. When a friend I worked with suggested “MeatCurtain”, it caught our ears.”
What “major or signed” bad does
your band sound most like?
“If I had to pick one it would be Gorguts. However, I think
that each of our songs has a different style than the last one.”
What makes your band different from other local
bands? Why should the readers go see your show as opposed to another local band?
“We take a lot of time perfecting our sound and presentation
before we bring it to the listeners so the listener can get a high quality, high energy experience.”
Do you have a CD available to fans?
“Yes. We have our first (The Unrelenting EP) and second
(The Unrelenting Machine) releases available.”
Where can they pick it up?
“They’re available on our web page, www.meatcurtain.net
and very soon at Earshot, CD’s and More and select Tower Records. Also go to Google.com and search “MeatCurtain”.
You should find all you need.”
Who are the members? Who are the influences
of each member?
“Steven Wooten, Guitars and Vocals; Jason Ballew, Bass
and Backing Vocals
Recently added: Jeff Howell, Guitars and Backing Vocals
and Ervin Cowart, Drums and What-nots.”
What are the major goals of the band as a whole?
“To put out the best quality entertainment possible!”
Who writes and produces the material for the
band?
“We all have our parts in it. We write and record it all
in our own studio, BEEF STUdio.”
Where can people access your music on the web?
“You can hear and download our music at www.meatcurtain.net,
late nights at www.rawore.com, and all day at www.heavymetalradio.net, www.kissthis.com, www.metalnetradio.com, http://theautopsyreport.heavymetalradio.net,
and a www.google.com search. You will find all you need there.”
“ Where can the readers see you perform?
Any upcoming shows?”
“You

and other beefy news, plus get “The Unrelenting” EP free when you join.”
